PM Narendra Modi’s Visit to Uttarakhand on April 14
Today means on this Tuesday, April 14, PM Narendra Modi is coming to Uttarakhand. The police have been practicing security like it’s an enormous event – everything has to be perfect, no mistakes.
Full Security Rehearsal by Uttarakhand Police
The Uttarakhand Police did a full proper rehearsal – minute by minute. They checked how they’ll handle the crowds, the traffic, the temple visit, the big function… everything. After that, DGP Deepam Seth called all his senior officers and spoke to them from the heart: “Stay alert, no laziness, do your duty with full dedication and sensitivity.”
Tight Security Arrangements at Mahindra Ground
At Mahindra Ground in Garhi Cantt, where the main event is, security is going to be really tight. Metal detectors everywhere, full checking of people, no bags, no drones – nothing risky. They’ve planned the exit so nicely so that thousands of people can leave without any pushing or chaos. Because we all want this day to be happy and smooth.

Route Inspection by Officials and CM Dhami
Just a few days back, the Chief Secretary and DGP walked the entire route themselves – from Daat Kali Temple to the ground. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami also went around checking every small thing: parking, water, lights, cleanliness. He told everyone, “Make it memorable for all the right reasons.” School kids have been practicing mantra chanting at the temple – imagine how beautiful that moment will be when Modi ji offers prayers there.
Visit Schedule: Temple Darshan and Expressway Inauguration
Now reasons for this visit First, around 11:40 AM, he’ll visit Jai Maa Daat Kali Temple for darshan and pooja. Then at 12:30, he’ll inaugurate the new Delhi-Dehradun Expressway and speak to everyone. This is his 27th visit to Uttarakhand – shows how much he loves the hills.
Delhi-Dehradun Expressway: A Game Changer for Travel
This expressway will be a real transformation. 210-213 km long, six lanes, constructed with more than 12,000 crore rupees. At the moment, Delhi to Dehradun takes 6-7 hours. From now just it will take two and a half hours. Think about it… weekend trips will become so easy. More tourists will come, goods will move faster, Char Dham Yatra will be simpler for everyone. There’s even Asia’s largest wildlife underpass so animals can cross safely.
Development Meets Nature in Uttarakhand
This means ameliorate life. More jobs, easier travel to Delhi, stronger economy in the hills. Today there will be some traffic diversions on Delhi-Dehradun, Saharanpur, Roorkee roads. Police are requesting everyone to cooperate, plan your day, and avoid unnecessary travel in those areas.
Salute to Security Forces and Officials
The security teams – our jawans and officers – they deserve big respect. Standing in the sun, checking every corner, coordinating everything so the day looks effortless. In a hill state like this, with sensitive areas around, they can’t take even one chance. Thank you to all of them.
Expectations from the Visit
As the day goes on, we’ll see big crowds, warm welcome, spiritual vibes at the temple, and hopefully some inspiring words from Modi ji about development, tourism, and the future of Uttarakhand. This expressway isn’t just concrete – it’s dreams on wheels.
